How do I choose a gynecologist in Seoul?
In Korea you can see a specialist directly without a referral, so the choice is yours. A few practical points help:
- Language: ask whether the doctor (not only a coordinator) can explain findings and consent in English.
- On-site tests: same-day ultrasound and in-house sampling save repeat visits.
- Scope: a women's hospital that also performs procedures avoids being referred elsewhere if something is found.
- Documents: confirm you can receive English receipts, diagnosis and medical certificates.
- Access: location, Saturday hours and walk-in policy matter when you are working or traveling.
