G-spot amplification is an injection of hyaluronic acid filler into a small area of the front vaginal wall, intended to increase sensitivity during intercourse. It takes about 15–30 minutes with numbing and has little downtime, but the effect is temporary and scientific evidence that it improves sexual satisfaction is limited. Risks and alternatives should be discussed before deciding.

What is G-spot amplification?
The "G-spot" describes an area on the front (anterior) wall of the vagina, a few centimeters inside, that some women find especially sensitive. G-spot amplification places a small amount of hyaluronic acid (HA) filler under the lining in this area to make it slightly more prominent, with the idea that it is stimulated more easily during intercourse.
This page covers the filler procedure itself. A related injection approach using the patient's own platelet-rich plasma is described on the sexual health page on the G-shot.
What does the evidence say?
It is important to be clear about the limits:
- Researchers still debate whether the G-spot is a distinct anatomical structure; sensitivity differs widely between women.
- There are no large, high-quality trials showing that G-spot fillers reliably improve arousal or orgasm.
- Dermal fillers are not specifically approved for vaginal injection in many countries, including the United States, so this is an off-label use.
- ACOG advises that procedures marketed to enhance sexual function lack good evidence and should not be presented as proven.
Sexual satisfaction depends on many factors — desire, comfort, relationship, hormones and pelvic floor health — which is why a broader look is often more helpful than a filler alone.
G-spot filler compared with other options
| Option | Approach | Evidence | Downtime |
|---|---|---|---|
| G-spot filler | HA filler in the front vaginal wall | Limited | 1–2 days |
| G-shot (PRP) | Own plasma injected into the area | Limited | 1–2 days |
| Pelvic floor training | Strengthening and relaxing the muscles | Supportive for function | None |
| Sexual health consultation | Treating dryness, pain, hormones or low desire | Depends on cause | None |
If low desire, dryness or pain are part of the picture, see low libido and sexual dysfunction.
- More sensitivity during intercourse
- A quick procedure with little downtime
- A lasting change
- Some women report a change; evidence is limited
- Short procedure, about a week before intercourse
- Temporary — the filler is absorbed over months
- Other causes of low satisfaction checked too
The procedure at Yoonho, step by step
- Private consultation in English Your goals and sexual health are discussed openly and without judgment, along with the evidence and alternatives.
- Examination A pelvic examination checks for infection or other conditions; treatment is postponed if any is found.
- Numbing A numbing cream or local anesthetic is applied to the area.
- Injection A small volume of HA filler is placed under the front vaginal wall in about 15–30 minutes.
- Aftercare You go home the same day with written instructions in English.
- Review A follow-up can be arranged to check comfort and healing.
Risks and aftercare
- Day 0–2 Mild soreness, spotting or a feeling of fullness can occur.
- First week Avoid intercourse, tampons, swimming and hot baths for about a week, or as advised.
- Months The filler is gradually absorbed; how long the effect lasts varies between women.
Possible risks include infection, bruising, lumps or nodules, filler moving from the intended area, urinary discomfort and, rarely, blockage of a blood vessel. HA filler can be dissolved with an enzyme if a problem occurs. Permanent (non-HA) fillers are not recommended in this area.
Cost and what is included
The cost depends mainly on the volume of filler used. A written estimate is given after your consultation. As an elective cosmetic procedure it is not covered by National Health Insurance or most travel insurance — see health insurance for foreigners.
At Yoonho Women's Hospital in Apgujeong, Seoul, intimate filler procedures are performed by Dr. Joonho Cho within the cosmetic gynecology service, alongside other vaginal filler options.

Frequently asked questions
Does G-spot amplification work?
Some women report increased sensitivity, but there is no strong scientific evidence that it reliably improves arousal or orgasm. It should be seen as an option with uncertain benefit.
How long does it last?
The hyaluronic acid filler is gradually absorbed. The effect is temporary and varies between women, so repeat treatment would be needed to maintain it.
What is the difference between G-spot amplification and the G-shot?
G-spot amplification uses a hyaluronic acid filler. The G-shot uses platelet-rich plasma made from your own blood. Evidence is limited for both.
Can the filler be removed?
Hyaluronic acid filler can usually be dissolved with an enzyme (hyaluronidase) if there is a problem.
Can I fly after the procedure?
Yes, usually the next day. Avoid intercourse and tampons for about a week and follow the written aftercare.
